After 20 years as an educator, I followed the thread of human connection into a completely new chapter.
Although my mom was a REALTOR®, I had chosen a career in education and hadn't considered real estate, until she suffered some health issues that made it challenging to run her brokerage—a top-tier, high-performing brokerage she started in 1996 and fine-tuned over the years to provide the highest level of service to her clients. She needed help, and I stepped in.
It surprised me how much I loved it.

I loved creating deep, meaningful connections with clients—hearing their stories and their dreams. I realized that no matter how different we may seem on the surface, we all want the same things: to be happy, to feel community, and to find joy. And to my great relief, the fundamental skill set of a teacher translates perfectly to real estate: communication and problem solving.

At the University of Colorado, I studied Humanities with two minors: Spanish and Fine Arts. On my first day of college, I met my husband, Brooks. He was a sophomore at the University of Michigan, but his sister was assigned to the dorm room down the hall from mine, and he was helping his sister move in. Brooks and I became pen pals—back when email and cell phones weren’t yet a thing—and eventually, we married in 1996.

After graduating, we moved to Texas, where I became a teacher. We loved our 11 years in Texas and it is where our children were born. As they grew, I began to yearn for them to have a childhood similar to my own idyllic one in Pagosa Springs, so in 2005 we moved our young family to Pagosa, and Pagosa will always be home.
My family moved to Pagosa Springs in 1976, but technically I am 5th generation living in the San Juan Mountains, as my great-great
grandparents settled in Silverton, Colorado. My grandfather and dad were in the ski industry, and I went from a baby in my dad's backpack skiing to a skier at age two. At age 5, Wolf Creek was the third and final ski mountain I lived on while my parents worked. I wanted my children, Pitcher and Elsa, to have that experience of ease in the mountains and growing up with skis on their feet. Today, my kids are in their twenties. Pitcher lives here in Colorado, and Elsa is in Spain teaching English. They both inherited a deep love of skiing and a sense of belonging in the mountains.

In 2015, my mom’s unexpected need for help changed the trajectory of my professional life. As I learned the business, I was in awe of the high-functioning, systems-based brokerage my mom had created. I have always been a goal-setter, and I am drawn to the satisfaction of helping happy, satisfied clients realize their goals. I take the mindset that their goals are my goals, and I work diligently to find the path for them.

That’s how real estate came into my life. The human connection that drew me to humanities and education is still there. I still get to educate people,
but even more valuable is the education I get from listening deeply to my clients. I’m grateful that life placed me in this role.
I love skiing, hiking, gardening, and reading almost anything. I volunteer whenever I can, serving the beautiful community of Pagosa Springs that I love so much. I'm committed to our local REALTOR® chapter, serving on the board for 8 years, and currently chairing the Community Outreach Committee. My philosophy is that we are only as strong as our weakest link, so I advocate passionately for REALTOR® education and professional standards.

Looking back, I can see that none of it was accidental. Teaching shaped me. When my mom needed me, I stepped into a version of myself that had been quietly forming all along. Real estate became another classroom, another space for connection, guidance, and trust.
I am rooted in a small mountain community where connection matters. I’ve seen firsthand how strong communities are built—through shared spaces like local libraries, community events, and teaching practical skills to the next generation. Inspired by Jann C Pitcher, who created a thriving business from the ground up, I’ve developed my own approach over the past 11 years.
My work begins with listening. I establish trust quickly because I am a deep listener and I stay present. Many of the people I serve feel overwhelmed when they come to me, and I meet them with steadiness and clarity. I believe strong relationships are everything. That’s why I’ve built solid rapport with lenders, inspectors, contractors, plumbers, electricians, handymen, fellow agents, and other professionals—because it takes all of us working together to truly support someone.
With 30 years of an established office in town behind me, I operate within a well-oiled machine: strong systems, dependable staff, and reliable processes. Needs are met efficiently, and every detail is handled with care. The foundation is solid, and the brokers I work alongside are strong, capable, and committed.
Sincerely,

Blueberry Lindner
